LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman is dead after a fatal shooting in the Portland area late Wednesday night.
Louisville Metro Police said officers were called to the area of 26th and Market Streets on reports of a shooting around 9:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, police said they found a woman who had been shot. She later died at the hospital.
The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating, and authorities said there are no known suspects.
