LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in the Russell neighborhood Saturday night.
Metro Police responded to South 24th and Elliott Avenue around 7 p.m.
Officers at the scene located a man who was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“It’s unfortunate that we continue this amount of violence here in the city,” Lt. Todd Hollis said. “Again, if anyone has information on this particular shooting the can call the Anonymous Tip Line.”
Hollis said they do not believe there is a threat to the public, despite having no suspects.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
