LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is dead and a woman is injured after police say they were shot sitting in their car in Jeffersontown.
Jeffersontown Police Chief Rick Sanders said it happened around 8 p.m. at an apartment complex off Old Six Mile Lane.
He said a car pulled up on them and opened fire.
The man was shot several times and died at the scene, and the woman was taken to the hospital where she's expected to survive according to the chief.
The coroner's office later identified the man as 24-year-old Derrick Minott, Jr.
