LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man accused of shooting an employee at the Pussycat Lounge in August.

According to court documents, Rafael Antonio Ixcaco-Son and others were removed from the club on Aug. 25, 2023.

Investigators said they then got into a vehicle and drove in front of the club. Police said that's when Ixcaco-Son fired one shot into the air and two shots towards Terrance Mason.

Mason then went inside and grabbed his own gun, police said, before going back to the doorway.

Documents show Ixcaco-Son then drove around the parking lot before coming to a stop at the front door and shot at Mason again.

Police said one of the bullets hit Mason in the back, paralyzing him; others at the club dragged him back inside the building and Ixcaco-Son drove away.

Investigators said there is surveillance video of what happened.

Ixcaco-Son then returned to the Pussycat Lounge later that day looking for his wallet, and left his number at the club according to authorities.

Mason was transported to UofL Hospital where he was originally treated for his gunshot wound police said. He had started treatment at Frazier Rehab but was later taken to St. Mary's Hospital for complications from his wound, and later died.

Ixcaco-Son is charged with murder.
