Shooting on Zorn Avenue leaves man dead, LMPD says

Police initially responded to the 1000 block of Zorn Avenue after reports of a robbery at a business but determined someone was shot in the business' parking lot.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person is dead following a shooting on Zorn Avenue.

According to Metro Police, officers responded to the 1000 block of Zorn Avenue near I-71 around 4:30 p.m. Saturday to a report of a business robbery.

Police said when officers arrived, they learned the business was not robbed, but shots had been fired in the parking lot.

A victim was not found at the location; however, police said a man was brought to UofL Hospital with a gunshot wound by private means. The man died from his injury at the hospital.

Police do not have a suspect or motive in this case.
