LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Authorities are investigating after two people, including a 3-year-old were shot in Louisville's California neighborhood late Wednesday evening.
The shooting happened in the 1700 block of Gallagher Street around 9:30 p.m., police officials told WHAS11.
Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) said the child had been transported to Norton Children's Hospital by private means before police arrived on scene. A department spokesperson said a short time later, a 20-year-old man also arrived at Norton Hospital with a gunshot wound.
The child and man are both expected to survive their injuries, authorities said.
Police said the shootings appear to be related.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating, however there are no suspects at this time.
