Louisville towing company employee assaulted trying to stop theft, company says

The company said the two suspects were driving a black Ford pickup truck with light trim at the bottom and a car dolly attached to the back.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) is looking for two people after an alleged theft and assault in Okolona.

Suburban Towing,  located on Industrial Boulevard just off Preston Highway, shared a post saying one of their employees was assaulted early Monday morning.

Officials said the employee noticed a man and woman allegedly looking through his personal vehicle that was in the business’ parking lot around 1:15 a.m.

When the employee saw what was happening, he turned to stop them.

The company said the two suspects were driving a black Ford pickup truck with light trim at the bottom and a car dolly attached to the back.

“After an altercation, the alleged thieves drove off the lot, knocking our driver to the ground and running over him with [a] dolly,” Suburban Towing said.

The company said the two suspects were driving a black Ford pickup truck with light trim at the bottom and a car dolly attached to the back. One suspect is described as a white man, who is 6 feet tall and has a beard. There was no description given for the woman.

According to LMPD, Seventh Division officers are investigating the incident.
