HARDIN, CO., Ky. (WHAS 11) -- Another suspect in a terrifying crime that involves kidnapping a woman, beating and then stabbing her appeared in court in Hardin county.
The woman, Angela New, is now charged with kidnapping and robbery in a case that police say was a get-together with friends gone bad.
The case is moving forward Feb.3 with the arraignment of the third suspect, New, here in the Hardin County courthouse. New is one of five people accused of kidnapping, beating and stabbing a woman this weekend.
Four of the suspects are behind bars while police continue searching for the fifth.
New is charged with kidnapping with serious physical injury and robbery in the first degree. She is being held on a cash bond of $500,000.
Two of New's co-defendants, Christopher Deaton and Schawn Milin, have also been arraigned here.
The Radcliff Police chief said the victim and the suspects were at a get together this weekend in Parkside Manor.
The arrest citation said the victim was bound in bed sheets, pillow cases, and tape and then forced to get in her own vehicle at knife-point. Blind-folded by the pillow case, the suspects then drove the victim over 20 miles to the Matthew E. Walsh Bridge in Brandenburg. The arrest citation states the victim was then forced to the bridge railing by knife-point and ordered to jump.
The officer wrote that the victim refused to do so.
The victim survived and is recovering in the hospital.
New and her co-defendants are due back in court on Feb. 12 for a preliminary hearing.
