LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash that killed a teen in Nelson County Friday evening.

Around 5:45 p.m. on Friday, a KSP trooper responded to a two-vehicle collision near the 13 mile-marker on Bluegrass Parkway.

According to the news release, the preliminary investigation revealed that a 17-year-old from Cox Creek was driving a car while traveling westbound on the Bluegrass Parkway. The teen crossed the median and hit 41-year-old Patrick Reed of Bardstown who was driving an SUV traveling eastbound, according to troopers.

Offices say the teen was pronounced dead at the scene by the Nelson County Coroner's Officer.
