LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- He's been waiting 18 years; eighteen years to see justice in the murder of his twin brother.

A Louisville man is still looking for answers and tell's WHAS11's Renee Murphy why he believes police have stopped looking for his brother's killer in an exclusive interview.

"To me it's an open and shut case," Jerome Camp, the victim's twin brother, said.

Jerome Camp said he knows who killed his brother Tyrone, in 1996 at his job. Tyrone Camp was a truck driver who wasn't even supposed to be working the day he was gunned down.

"Only two people that knew that information," Jerome Camp said.

He believes his brother was killed for life insurance money. But so far no one has been charged with his murder.

"This man went to work every day to take care of his family; he got shot to death over money," Jerome Camp said.

The head of LMPD's cold case unit said the case is still an open investigation and they are following up on all leads.

Kerry Porter was once charged and convicted of Tyrone Camp's murder. But DNA evidence exonerated him. He is now suing the city of Louisville.

"I figure they try and save themselves some money. It's all about Kerry Porter's civil lawsuit. They figure if they arrest ***** and ***** they would have to pay Kerry Porter this money and rightfully so. They should."

We aren't naming the people Jerome Camp suspects because they haven't been charged.

Former prosecutor Dave Stengel says there was DNA from possible suspects but they couldn't get a match.

Jerome Camp says he doesn't know when someone else will be charged in the case but says he knows Kerry Porter wasn't the killer.

"If Porter hadn't filed that civil suit they probably would have been arrested by now," Jerome Camp said.
