1 teen dies, 1 injured in Taylor Berry neighborhood shooting

A 19-year-old died soon after he and a 17-year-old were shot, according to LMPD.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One 19-year-old is dead and a 17-year-old is in the hospital after a shooting Sunday night in Louisville's Taylor Berry neighborhood.

At about 9:20 p.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of Earl Avenue, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found two males who had been shot. Both were taken to UofL Hospital where the 19-year-old victim later died. The 17-year-old is expected to survive.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation. There are currently no known suspects.
