LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A victim has been identified one day after a deadly shooting in the Park Hill neighborhood.

Coroner Barbara Weakley-Jones identified the man as 27-year-old Dwayne Sensley.

Sensley was shot in the 1700 block of St. Louis Avenue Saturday just after 11 a.m. He was transported to University Hospital where he later died.

Police took into custody 27-year-old Brandon Johnson and charged him with murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property and tampering with physical evidence.

Investigators say Johnson admitted to shooting Sensley in the back. He told police he caught Sensley in his home and shot him as he was leaving through the back door.

The gun used in the shooting was hidden in the basement.
