Woman found dead after hit-and-run in Old Louisville

Investigators believe a woman was struck and killed by a car Sunday night in an alley in Old Louisville.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman is dead after a fatal hit-and-run Sunday night in Old Louisville.

At about 10 p.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a call of a "person down" in the 900 block of South First Street, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found the body of an "obviously deceased" woman in the rear alley of the address. Investigators believe she was struck and killed by a vehicle at this location.

LMPD's Traffic Unit is leading this investigation. There is currently no known information about a potential suspect or their vehicle.
