LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman is in the hospital after she was shot Monday night in Louisville's Algonquin neighborhood.
At about 11:50 p.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of South 13th Street, according to an LMPD news release.
Officers on scene found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg. Officers rendered first aid until EMS could arrive.
Once on scene, EMS transported the woman to UofL Hospital. Authorities say they expect her to survive.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling this investigation. There are currently no known suspects.
