FRANKFORT, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky high school juniors can get a jump start on college for free this fall thanks to a new program with the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
The program aligns with Governor Matt Bevin's new dual credit initiative for high school seniors.
That initiative provides students with the opportunity to take two college courses through a dual credit scholarship.
There's no cost to students for either program unless they choose to take more classes than the scholarship covers.
KCTCS is committing $600,000 to the scholarship program for juniors.
