Parents create 'Pandemic Pods' so students can learn together without the risk of going back in the classroom

One Kentucky family says their daughter is high risk and won't be going back into a full classroom anytime soon, but they needed a way for her to socialize.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — JCPS is among many school districts in our area that's utilizing laptops, Chromebooks and internet access as students return to the classroom.  

Many of the students will return virtually to stop the COVID-19 spread and some parents are worried about the effects learning from home could have on children who need to socialize.

One Kentucky family says their daughter is high risk and won't be going back into a full classroom anytime soon, but they needed a way for her to socialize, other than through zoom. 

They took matters into their own hands and created what's being called 'Pandemic Pods.'
