LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- Simmons College of Kentucky has plenty to celebrate, $4 million worth to celebrate.
Barney Barnett the founder of food manufacturer Algood Food company and his wife are behind the multi-million dollar grant to the historically black college.
Barnett said three-million of the donation will go toward upgrading three of the college's buildings.
The remaining one-million will go to establishing an endowment for the school.
Changes are expected to begin in the summer of 2019.
