(WHAS 11)--Students at Brooklawn School will soon be getting their hands dirty all part of the learning process.
Thanks in part to the 'One Class at a Time Project.'
WHAS11's Chief Meteorologist paid a visit to Brooklawn complete with a $550 check thanks to our partnership with the Jefferson County Teachers Association.
The school plans on using it to get their greenhouse and gardening program back up and running.
It's been dormant for about 2 years but in spring the kids will be planting, harvesting and eating their own vegetables.
Brooklawn School services special needs and at risk students.
