Medical cannabis in Kentucky: Online registry of doctors, nurses available

The registry was supposed to launch Sunday but did not go online until this morning.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Sick Kentuckians can now search an online registry of doctors and nurses authorized to certify patients for medical marijuana.

Those with qualifying conditions can search by city, zip code or county to find the closest practitioner and set up an appointment.

The registry was supposed to launch Sunday but did not go online until this morning.

The Office of Medical Cannabis said several practitioners "inadvertently" provided personal contact information which had to be corrected.

As of Wednesday, Kentucky said there are 180 authorized practitioners across the commonwealth who can approve patients for medical marijuana.
