LOUISVILLE, Ky. — LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Kentucky State Trooper had quite the run-in with an unlikely suspect.

Trooper Corey King, who represents Post 16 in Henderson, noticed something peculiar while on a run Saturday evening.

In a post to social media, he says, ‘What’s with the break-ins lately?!?! This little #HouseSquatter was located inside a new home under construction in Daviess County.’

The house squatter turned out to be a fawn resting inside.

Trooper King says he was able to take the little one into custody without incident with very minimal negotiating.
