NEWPORT, Ky. — Newport Aquarium is kicking off its "Shark Summer" with free kid's admission this Memorial Day weekend.
Children under 12 can enter the aquarium for free and visit the brand new baby epaulette shark. After Memorial Day weekend, admission is free for one child after 4 p.m. with the purchase of every adult ticket on the aquarium's website.
For Shark Summer, the aquarium offers a Surrounded by Sharks exhibit on their Shark Bridge featuring five different species. Guests can also touch sharks and visit the shark nursery with eggs from three different shark species.
The aquarium does have extended summer hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. until August 31.
