Lake Cumberland at record-breaking levels after heavy rain

SOMERSET, Ky. — Lake Cumberland reached record-breaking levels Saturday, February 24 after heavy rain.

The official Lake Cumberland Facebook page posted that the lake reached 751.70 feet before 10 p.m. Saturday, breaking a record set in 1984.

After the rain finished, officials said the water level is elevated to 753.69. All 10 spillway gates are open today.
