LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Christmas themed business in Kentucky has permanently closed its doors.
According to social media, Ruley's Santa Claus Land said many things have changed over the years and it's been harder to keep things going.
"With that being said we want to thank each and everyone of you who took the time to come visit us over the many years we were open," the Ruleys wrote. "We appreciate all the conversations, smiles and donations but especially appreciate all the new and amazing people we got to meet along the way. You all became family to us and we will miss seeing everyone."
Ruley's started as a small light show for the family but it grew as the years went by. The man who started it all, Paul Ruley, passed away in 2016.
They said they are proud of the fact they were able to carry on the family tradition for several years after his passing.
