LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Metro Police are investigating a crash that killed one person and injured three others in southwest Jefferson County Tuesday.
According to police, officers responded to a two-car collision in the 5400 block of Dixie Highway just before 8 p.m.
Their initial investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling southbound on Dixie Highway when another car pulled out into the intersection from Flintlock Drive.
The male driver of the car from Flintlock was pronounced dead at the scene and passenger was transported to University Hospital in critical condition. The man who died was identified as 26-year-old William L. Rogers Jr., according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
Police say the driver and passenger of the car on Dixie Highway were also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are looking into whether speed played a factor in the crash.
