Police said the incident happened at North 16th Street and West Main Street around 5 p.m. Monday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A 15-year-old has been hospitalized after a motorbike and minivan collided in Portland.

Metro Police said the crash happened on 16th and West Main Street around 5 p.m. Monday.

In their preliminary investigation, LMPD were told by witnesses that a minivan driven by a man was headed westbound on West Main Street and had the green light when it entered the intersection at North 16th Street.

They were taken to Norton Children's Hospital with serious injuries and believed to be non-life threatening.

The driver of the minivan was not hurt.

LMPD’s Traffic Unit said the investigation is ongoing.
