LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – Just after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, there was a fatal vehicle crash at the 14100 block of Dixie Highway and Bowen Avenue.
During the preliminary investigations, officials have said that a Lincoln Navigator was traveling Southbound on Dixie Hwy and then swerved over into the Northbound lanes.
The Navigator side swiped a utility truck and then collided into a Toyota Camry.
Donna Cotton Martin was a passenger in the Lincoln Navigator. She wasn't wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the SUV after the driver crossed the median and hit the two other vehicles. The 46-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She lived on the 6700 block of Pendleton Road.
Funeral arrangements for Donna Cotton Martin are being made at Hardy Funeral Home on Dixie Highway, at Bethany Lane.
The other individual in the Navigator was taken to University Hospital.
The person in the Camry was also taken to University with non-life threatening injuries.
LMPD is still investigating.
