LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A seventh ALDI is opening in Louisville in December.
A spokesperson for the company said it will open at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 12 at 220 Juneau Drive in Middletown for the grand opening. However, the location will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for regular store hours.
To celebrate, they said the first 100 people will get a gift bag with fan favorites and a gift card. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card too.
As part of the grand opening, ALDI said they would donate $1,000 to Dare to Care Food Bank, and will work with the nonprofit to deliver excess grocery items to households through the Feeding America Network.
This comes after the grocery store chain announced in September its intention to hire more than 13,000 new store and warehouse employees.
The other ALDIs in Louisville are on Westport Road, Preston Highway, Bardstown Road, Outer Loop, Dixie Highway and South Hurstbourne Parkway.
