LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Average gasoline prices in Louisville have risen 6.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.94/g on Monday, according to GasBuddy's survey of 644 stations in Louisville.
However, prices are 29.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 60.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
The national average price of diesel has declined 2.1 cents in the last week and stands at $3.55 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Louisville was priced at $2.49/g on Sunday while the most expensive was $3.73/g, for a difference of $1.24/g.
The lowest price in Kentucky on Sunday was $2.44/g while the highest was $3.73/g, for a difference of $1.29/g.
The national average price of gasoline has risen 1.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.16/g on Monday.
"With oil prices jumping after the U.S. Federal Reserve cut interest rates by a larger-than-expected half percent, we've seen some states where gas prices have inched back up, while others have continued to decline," head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy Patrick De Haan said. "Most of these increases should be temporary with declines returning in the days and weeks ahead."
The national average is down 18.8 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 67.4 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.

- Lexington- $2.87/g, up 3.8 cents per gallon from last week's $2.84/g.
- Cincinnati- $3.11/g, up 24.2 cents per gallon from last week's $2.86/g.
