Police: 30-year-old Bardstown man dies in motorcycle crash

A man driving a Harley Davison motorcycle lost control for unknown reasons and hit a utility pole on Sunday.

MEADE COUNTY, Ky. — A Bardstown, Ky. man is dead after a motorcycle crash Sunday morning in Meade County.

At about 11:30 a.m., Kentucky State Police responded to a single-vehicle collision near the 4500 block of Garrett Road in the Ekron community of Meade Co., according to a KSP news release.

Investigators believe Dustin C. Gray, 30, was operating a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Garrett Road when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway, striking a utility pole.

Gray was pronounced dead at the scene by the Meade Co. Coroner's Office.

A portion of Garrett Road was closed for several hours following the crash. KSP is currently investigating the collision.
