The new year is going to mean new repairs for Louisville's Waterfront Park.
A barge hit the overlook area on Friday, Dec. 21. It caused "significant damage."
Park officials said the barge hit part of the overlook near the Great Lawn, breaking off some of the limestone panels.
While no one was hurt, repairs could take up to a year to complete because only one company can do them. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
