Bearno's Pizza looks to help communities impacted by deadly hurricanes

All Bearno's locations will be donating a portion of its sales next Tuesday to help those hit by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — After two powerful hurricanes slammed the United States within days of each other, communities across the Southeast are still recovering from the devastation.

Bearno’s Pizza, which has locations in Louisville and southern Indiana, is looking to help people affected by the disasters by donating a portion of its sales next week.

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, Bearno’s locations will donate 15% of all dine-in, carryout and delivery sales directly to the American Red Cross to help with hurricane relief efforts.

At least 230 people were killed during Hurricane Helene as it swept up Florida’s coast and into the mountainous communities of Tennessee, North Carolina and West Virginia. Multiple areas suffered severe damage from flash flooding.

Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida late Wednesday as a Category 3 storm in Siesta Key, about 70 miles south of Tampa, before sweeping across the peninsula.

It brought powerful winds, tornadoes and storm surges to the state, killing at least a dozen people.
