LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A West Louisville coffee shop is expanding.
Goodwill Industries of Kentucky has announced that Blak Koffee will be opening a location inside its West Louisville Opportunity Center on West Broadway.
Black Koffee has already established its footing in the Russell neighborhood at the MOLO Village with its mission of blending coffee, culture, community, business and diversity.
The addition to the campus will give west Louisville residents more variety when it comes to food.
"We made a commitment to bring in a restaurant, offering not only delicious food but also healthy choices to the community,” Rena Sharpe, chief operating officer for Goodwill, said in a statement.
Blak Koffee’s new location will sit on the campus’ north side of the main hall. This area, officials say, will serve about 50,000 people annually with the combination of employment and self-sufficiency resources.
Construction is expected to begin in late spring, a date when its expected to open has not been announced.
Blak Koffee will offer the same menu seen in its flagship location.
Goodwill will open the campus officially to the public on March 20.
The Goodwill Opportunity Center is located at 2820 West Broadway.
