Brice Rhodes found guilty on all counts in 2016 triple murder case

Judge Julie Kaelin read the verdict just before 9:30 p.m. Monday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Jefferson County jury has found Brice Rhodes guilty seven years after the gruesome murders of two teenage boys who witnessed him shoot and kill another man.

Judge Julie Kaelin read the verdict just before 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Rhodes was convicted of stabbing and then burning the bodies of teenage brothers, 14-year-old Larry Ordway and 16-year-old Maurice Gordon after they allegedly witnessed him shoot and kill Christopher Jones, 40, in 2016.

The defense was expected to start its case but decided to call no witnesses to the stand and push to closing arguments.

It was a surprise to everyone, including Judge Kaelin.

In addition to the three guilty counts of murder, Rhodes was also found guilty of tampering of physical evidence along with two counts of abuse of a corpse.

Rhodes is expected to be sentenced on Tuesday.
