LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A soul food restaurant in Louisville had a very special guest walk through its doors Friday night -- Bruno Mars.
The 14x Grammy-award winning superstar made a stop at Shirley Mae's Café before performing at the Trifecta Gala.
Mars posted two photos on his Instagram story, one of the restaurant's sign and the other with owner Shirley Beard.
Shirley Mae's Café has been open for over 30 years and is a staple in the Smoketown neighborhood. It's located on the corner of Clay Street and Lampton Street in downtown.
The restaurant offers wings, barbeque ribs, chitterlings, pork chop, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and so much more. Please click here to see the full menu.
Shirley Mae's Café is open from Thursday - Sunday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
