Cars submerged in Shively as flash flooding hits Louisville

A flash flood warning has been issued for Jefferson County until 7 p.m.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Tuesday's storms brought heavy rain to the area as flash flooding popped up across the metro.

Over in Shively, cars were fully submerged in flood water at the intersection of 7th Street and Berry Boulevard.

A part of Interstate 65 right near the Arthur Street exit south of downtown Louisville, is also seeing some floodwaters and is slowing down traffic.

A flash flood warning has been issued for Jefferson County until 7 p.m.
