LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Thunder Over Louisville is just days away and the Clark Memorial Bridge is set to close in preparation for the annual fireworks spectacular.
The Clark Memorial Bridge (2nd Street Bridge) will close on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. through Sunday until 2 p.m. for traffic and pedestrians.
The bridge had reopened on Friday after being open to southbound lanes only following damage from a crash involving a semi in early March.
Those looking to access the Big Four Bridge should know it will be closed on Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for air show practice. The bridge will close at 10 a.m. on Thunder Day until midnight.
Officials said access to the bridge will be restricted due to safety operations. They will have signs in place to keep the public notified of closures and restrictions.
This year marks the 35th production of Thunder Over Louisville with a theme of Celebrating Derby 150.
