Clarksville's Storywalk opens in Gateway Park

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Nature and imagination are joining forces for a storybook ending in Clarksville.

The Parks and Recreation Department celebrated the grand opening of its Storywalk in Gateway Park on Little League Boulevard.

It is a picture book which families and young children can enjoy while traveling along a walking path around the little league fields.

“We believe the Storywalk is an excellent opportunity to offer children the chance to explore literature in a dynamic and engaging environment,” recreation director Kayla Tatgenhorst said. “It's more than just an outdoor activity, it’s a chance for families to connect and experience the magic of storytelling and foster a love for both reading and nature.”

The project was made possible thanks to a $10,700 grant from the Duke Energy Foundation in collaboration with Clarksville Parks Department, and Jeffersonville Township Public Library.
