LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A contractor died Wednesday after falling from the sixth floor of the Brown-Forman Corporation building in Louisville.
In a statement to WHAS11 News, a Brown-Forman spokesperson said emergency personnel were called to their 850 Dixie Highway location as a result of an "accidental death involving a contractor" around 12:30 p.m.
Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) said the man fell from some scaffolding while working. Louisville Fire Department said he suffered a "traumatic head injury." He received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.
"We extend our deepest sympathy and thoughts to his family during this difficult time," the Brown-Forman spokesperson said.
Authorities said the building is under repair in that area.
The LMPD Homicide Unit is conducting a death investigation. The contractor's identity has not been released.
