Coroner identifies man shot to death outside barbershop

Police were called to the scene just after 7 p.m. Saturday and upon arrival found 22-year-old Kentrail Robbins lying in the doorway bleeding. Witnesses said a man in car fired several shots at the victim.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot outside a barbershop near 28th Street and Grand Avenue.

Police were called to the scene just after 7 p.m. on Saturday and upon arrival found 22-year-old Kentrail Robbins lying in the doorway of the barbershop bleeding.

Dwight Sweeny was near his parked truck that was close to the barbershop when he heard gunshots.

'An individual, a black male, got out of a vehicle with a gun and started shooting,' said Sweeny.

Sweeney said he heard multiple shots go off.

'It was like cannon. It was like boom, boom, boom. I could feel the vibrations,' he said.

The Jefferson County coroner, Robbins was taken to University Hospital where he later died of multiple gunshot wounds.
