LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Almost a week after a deadly crash shut down Interstate 64 for nearly 20 hours, we now know the name of the semi-truck driver who died.

The coroner's office identified him as 61-year-old Danny Goodman. It is still unclear how the accident happened.

Authorities and firefighters were called to the Cochran Hill Tunnel exit on I-64 east around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17 for a multi-vehicle crash police said.

When they arrived, police said they found two semi-trucks, a garbage truck and two cars were involved.

Officials said the drivers of the cars and garbage truck were transported to UofL Hospital with injuries, and they are expected to survive. The driver of the other semi-truck was not injured according to authorities.
