LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Stanley Dishon, the man accused of killing his niece, Jessica Dishon, was back in a Bullitt County courthouse Friday and new court documents are revealing new details about the 1999 murder.
April 25, less than a mile from where Jessica's body was found all those years ago, sheets believe to be from her bed were found inside a barn.
When investigators went into the barn, the sheets they found were tattered and degraded. Investigators took those sheets to Jessica's mother, Edna Jett, for identification and Jett said the bedding looked like Jessica's sheets.
Jessica's mother also said the bedding had not changed since the day her daughter died, but she couldn't remember if that sheet was there or not.
Investigators said jailhouse informants told them Jessica Dishon was held in a barn and tortured for several days before she was dumped at a another location.
A building near the barn was also searched, but investigators said they did not find any evidence, but when they returned to the barn they did find a pillow case that matched Jessica's bedding.
The property, which belongs to a woman who took ownership after her mother had a stroke, was searched during the original investigation and sat vacant from 1999 until 2002.
Stanley Dishon is due back in court May 28.
