Food Network's Darnell 'SuperChef' Ferguson indicted on burglary, strangulation charges

The charges stem from a Jan. 2 incident where police allege Ferguson unlawfully entered his wife Tatahda Ferguson’s apartment while she was sleeping.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted popular Food Network personality Darnell “SuperChef” Ferguson.

He’s facing burglary, strangulation, assault, terroristic threatening, menacing and criminal mischief.

The charges stem from a Jan. 2 incident where police allege Ferguson unlawfully entered his wife Tatahda Ferguson’s apartment while she was sleeping.

They allege Ferguson assaulted, strangled and threatened her. He is also accused of damaging her property, putting her in fear for her safety.

Ferguson is expected to appear in Jefferson Circuit Court on Feb. 26 for arraignment.

His attorney released a statement last month saying Ferguson maintains his innocence and he would be exonerated.
