1 dead after weekend crash in Shelbyville

Police said the incident on Eminence Pike was reported Saturday evening around 6:30 p.m.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A weekend crash in Shelby County has left one person dead and two others injured.

The incident was reported just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

In a preliminary investigation, Shelbyville Police said a silver Lexus was headed southbound on Eminence Pike when it crossed a center line and hit a northbound Dodge Ram.

Forty-one-year-old Adrian Murphy, the driver of the Lexus, died at the scene. Another person who was in the vehicle left the scene but was later found. They received treatment at an area hospital.

The driver of the Dodge Ram was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
