Driver killed after crashing into 3 homes in Park Hill neighborhood

Police said a driver traveling on Wilson Avenue lost control of his vehicle and hit three homes in the incident that happened Sunday morning.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in the Park Hill neighborhood.

According to Metro Police, officers responded to the crash in the 2300 block of Wilson Avenue around 11 a.m. Sunday.

In their preliminary investigation, police said a man was driving a vehicle east on Wilson Avenue when he apparently lost control and struck three homes. Each of the homes have structural damage.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses near the scene told police that speed was a factor in the crash.

No other injuries were reported and the man’s identity is not yet known.

LMPD’s Traffic Unit is investigating.
