Cairo Jordan's mother waives right to extradition; will head to Indiana to face charges

DeJaune Anderson will soon head to southern Indiana to face charges in her son Cairo Jordan's death.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — DeJaune Anderson, the woman accused of killing her 5-year-old son Cairo Jordan and leaving his body in a suitcase in southern Indiana, has waived her right to extradition.

Anderson was arrested in Arcadia, California on March 14.

She was on the run for nearly two years since the discovery of her son’s body in a rural part of Washington County.

A California judge has ordered that Anderson must be picked up no later than April 5.

According to Sgt. Carey Huls of Indiana State Police, the Washington County Jail will be working with the U.S. Marshal to figure out when they will head to California to get her.
