LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Editor's Note: Above video originally aired on May 2, 2024.
The Louisville Metro Housing Authority (LMHA) is inviting residents at Dosker Manor to participate in a survey designed to gather feedback and improve the community's living experience.
Dosker Manor, located just east of downtown, is Louisville's largest public housing complex, holding nearly 700 units. But it's also almost 60 years old, with an aging foundation.
Tenants have long complained of mold, bug infestations and multiple instances of gun violence.
From May 6 to May 10, LMHA is asking residents to voice their opinions, preferences and suggestions regarding housing options and community amenities at Dosker Manor.
In March, LMHA Executive Director Elizabeth Strojan said the city would be putting more resources into repairing the apartment complex, as well as ramping up inspections, pest treatments and additional security.
Officials said residents' feedback on the new survey will be used to improve living conditions and shape future housing developments.
How to complete the LMHA survey:
The new LMHA survey takes roughly 60 minutes to complete and is only available to Dosker Manor residents.
All residents will receive a $30 gift card for completing the survey, LMHA said.
To take the survey, residents will need to reserve an appointment with time slots available daily from noon to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. To reserve a time slot for the survey and ensure participation, residents should call 502-569-1188 or 502-569-3753. Walk-in appointments will also be accepted, officials added.
