LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Dosker Manor residents are continuing to voice their calls for action to address living conditions at the apartment complex near downtown Louisville.
Residents accuse the Louisville Metro Housing Authority of a lack of transparency when it comes to the issue.
Chanelle Helm with Black Lives Matter-Louisville has been helping residents organize.
She claims residents have been living in “disgusting” conditions.
“Many of those things are widely being attributed to people's personality that has nothing to do with the fact that people are living in squalor, that they are living with mold with past rodents, dilapidating, sinks and other things that have not been updated since the apartments were built,” Helm said.
Residents are demanding an immediate task force to be created for them so they can get help to move out of the old building.
