Driver hurt after car crashes into UofL soccer stadium

Police say a pedestrian was hit with some of the debris from the crash.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The University of Louisville soccer stadium has some minor damage after a car crashed into it.

LMPD says around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers watched the driver of a car hit several other cars in a parking lot near Fourth Street and Cardinal Boulevard.

The driver then drove off but lost control, hitting the stadium on Floyd Street.

Some debris from the crash hit a woman walking nearby, but she refused medical attention.

Police say the man driving the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Charges against him are pending.
