LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Progress is starting to take shape on Terry Road where the state has approved a stoplight.
The early stages of the work has begun near West Pages Lane near Sanders Elementary.
The stretch of road has been the scene of a handful of deadly accidents, most recently at the beginning of November where 59-year-old James Dennison was hit and killed while walking on the narrow road.
Christina Anglin's 16-year-old son Gavin was also hit and killed on the same road in 2014 and it's been her mission to see safety improvements in the neighborhood since that tragedy hit her family.
A timeline of installation for the stoplight has yet to be released.
