Fallen LMPD officer receives name on National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial

Officer Nick Rodman, who was killed in the line of duty in March 2017, had his name placed on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial wall in Washington D.C.
Someone was wearing an button to remember the late Officer Nick Rodman in Frankfort as House Bill 185 was discussed in committee. The bill that is supposed to fix line of duty benefits was approved by committee on March 15.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Sunday marked the start of National Police Week and one fallen Metro Police officer has received an honor.

Officer Nick Rodman, who was killed in the line of duty in March 2017, had his name placed on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial wall in Washington D.C.

Chief Steve Conrad, Mayor Greg Fischer and 60 officers from Metro Police were on hand during the ceremony.

Mayor Fischer said in a post via social media, “Thousands and thousands in DC for 30th annual candlelight vigil to support officers killed in the line of duty. Here w LMPD to honor Officer Nick Rodman and other fallen heroes. You all will never be forgotten. Big thanks to all of our police officers.”

Metro Police also posted adding “We got the watch from here. #LMPD #neverforgotten #123B #1stDivisionStrong #courageandcommitment”.
